Job Description
As RF Lab Manager, you will be focusing on the building, maintaining, and operating the RF Characterization and engineering labs in Woburn and Andover, MA. The Lab Manager will lead the Test Engineering team, Test lab’s day-to-day operations, including Lab Organization, Test schedule, Quality Standard compliance, ESD, etc. The Manager will optimize the lab layout, equipment, and inventory to increase lab throughput and reduce lead time.
The candidate will be performing lab assets management duties such as maintaining instrument calibrations, servicing laboratory equipment, and handling equipment and asset database. You will be training test engineers on specialized equipment usage, lab practices, and safely working within the lab environment. The Manager will be collaborating with engineers on new equipment test methodologies, installation, and operation. The Manager will be analyzing and optimally communicating lab-related issues and making recommendations for the next steps in lab tools and infrastructure. You will be working with various equipment and services, both multi-functional and external vendors.
Job Requirement
- Experience Managing Test Engineers and Technicians
- Test Scheduling and Planning
- RF lab setup, management, and improvement
- Management of Test lab space
- Experience crafting, assembling, and calibrating RF test fixtures
- Hands-on experience with RF lab equipment: multi-meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscope, microscope, etc
- Experience testing IMD, IP3, NF, EVM, Mask, S-Parameters, Compression, Harmonics, etc.
- Background in procuring and keeping inventory of RF electronic parts, tools, and laboratory consumables
- Flexibility and amenity working in a constantly evolving environment
- Meticulous organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills
- Experience with managing small- or large-scale projects
