Role Introduction

This unique management position is a fun and challenging blend of retail, project management, logistics, customer service, networking, personnel, sales and merchandising, and communications. As a Slingshot Campus Store Manager, you will not only supervise the day-to-day operations of a college campus store, but work with the Store Operations team to integrate Slingshot’s values of Character, Relationship, and Innovation into every part of the retail experience for customers and team members. Role Function

  • Setting a positive tone and being an example of service, hard work, and creative problem-solving
  • Creating an inviting and inclusive environment by welcoming every customer and offering assistance
  • Hiring, training, and managing a store team of 3 FT employees, 8-10 PT employees, and 10-15 seasonable employees
  • Maintaining store stock and appearance through creative displays and merchandising
  • Supporting retail sales in a way that builds rapport with customers
  • Working closely with faculty and campus leadership to ensure that we collect all information required to deliver all course materials seamlessly to students
  • Providing course materials for students in order to empower their success and preparation for engaged learning in the classroom
  • Offering state-of-the-art print services to the institution and surrounding community
  • Receiving and delivering all campus mail and packages with efficiency and accuracy
  • Understanding the unique specific needs of the institution and meeting them while embodying our core values of character, relationship, and innovation

As a Campus Store Manager, you’ll have multiple channels of support from the Slingshot team. We centralize many of our logistical operations in order to enable you to engage fully in the campus and students and focus on the requirements of the campus. As a part of the Slingshot team, you’ll gain valuable training and experience across a variety of software platforms and systems. This role is a great opportunity to grow new skills and flex the ones you already have. The Campus Store includes textbooks, gifts, merchandise sales, mail, and print services. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 per year

  • Upland, IN 46989: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
