Description
Carrier Process Equipment Group (CPEG), is a Louisville based company with multiple businesses specializing in material handling and processing equipment. We are looking for the BEST Plant Production Supervisors in the industry to help us grow our business at Sly in Mathiston.
Manufacturing Supervisor(s) are responsible for the, safe, daily operations of specific departments such as, Sheet Metal & Structural Steel prep., Welding, Paint & Assembly, Shipping & Receiving departments that support the manufacturing of Air Pollution Control Equipment. Duties include, but are not limited to Safety Compliance, Scheduling, Materials Management, Managing & Coaching employees, and increase manufacturing efficiencies.
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
What you’ll do
- Conduct all business in accordance with all company policies and safety practices.
- Enforce safety and quality standards and procedures.
- Manage departmental manufacturing schedules.
- Read and interrupt manufacturing drawings.
- Aid in the management of labor and material costs.
- Ensure projects are completed and ready for shipment in a timely manner.
- Issue requisition for materials as needed.
- Review job order paperwork and manufacturing drawings to identify special requirements in order to accurately manufacture equipment.
- Responsible for monitoring and managing departmental production rates.
- Coordinate with various departments including engineering to discuss and resolve issues.
- Effectively communicate with a multitude of people and departments, both verbally and in the written form.
- Aide in product improvements.
- Aide in manufacturing process improvements.
- Manage material inventory.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of management experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in a metal fabrication environment.
- Working knowledge of AUTOCAD, CAD software, 3D Modeling.
- Able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Able to understand and follow directions.
- Excellent team player.
- Must be dedicated to customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a high standard of quality.
- Knowledge of sheet metal, structural and welding equipment.

- Bachelors Degree
- Background in a quality methodology (ISO, LEAN, etc.).
