Claims Examiner
100% remote
4-6 years experience; Reviews, evaluates, and processes claims and makes recommendations for resolution. Has to contact with agents, claimants, and policyholders.
The position will be to process group life insurance claims.
• Investigates, evaluates, interprets, and determines life claims with sound and impartial claim
judgments based on contract language and policy provisions.
• Investigate the data on the claim form and other documents, such as death certificate, amount of coverage, type
of coverage, beneficiary, name, address, age, etc.
• Reads and correctly interprets life insurance contracts, medical records, police reports, etc.
• Obtains claim information by communicating effectively with internal/external stakeholders verbally and in
written form while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions.
• Processes assigned claims for payment or denial and demonstrates flexibility and responsiveness to
meet accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Provides customer service to internal and/or external stakeholders.
Interview process: 1 interview with 2 claims managers.
Training: Yes,2-4 weeks of virtual classroom training
