General Description:
The objective of the Safety Services Representative/Auditor is to ensure the efficient profitable management of the SMART customer's Safety Program. Manage the Operational Functions to meet the goals of SMART as assigned by the Safety Consultant. Ensures that all activities under the direct control of the Safety Services Representative/Auditor meet the quality standards of the company and customers. Maintain SMART as a safe and secure workplace. Provide information, communication and leadership to make the Management Team an effective unit by providing the Management Team and Safety Consultant with customer information on a regular basis using the information documents required by SMART.
Essential Functions:
1. Planning, coordinating, scheduling, and controlling the safety functions at assigned customer's jobsite to meet or exceed customer expectations for safety management under the direction of the Safety Consultant.
2. Controlling productivity and safety audit accuracy on each job-site audit under the Safety Services Representative/Auditor's control and provide data for any other reports required by the customer and/or the Safety Consultant.
3. Maintaining document control to insure information is accurate and timely for maintaining customer safety program requirements.
4. Maintaining record keeping to adequately report safety program results and incident follow-up.
5. Coordinating the material and personnel to perform all structured meetings with customer personnel.
6. Controlling and reporting time spent on activities for each assigned customer on a continuing basis.
7. Coordinating audits to assure they are conducted, collated and reported properly to each customer as well as the Safety Consultant.
8. Prepare him/herself with the proper mindset, safety supplies and procedures prior to entering job site.
9. Attending all company training and staff meetings as directed by the Safety Consultant.
10. Ensuring that safety programs are followed and that all employees operate within sound safety standards
11. Ensuring compliance with applicable Federal, State, City and municipal laws and regulations.
12. Performing other tasks and duties as assigned by the Safety Consultant and keep him informed on significant financial and employment issues.
1. 4 Year Bachelor Degree in Safety / Construction Management or 3 - 5 years of experience.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of commercial or industrial construction.
3. Certifications in one of the following CSP, CHST, ASP, COSS, CSST, etc.
Travel: Up to 25%
