Smartsheet is looking for an experienced Client Services Director, to join our Professional Services Sales team and own the end to end sales cycle of the Smartsheet Services Portfolio.
Our PS Sales team is responsible for understanding and positioning premium Smartsheet Services Solutions to drive long term value and success for our enterprise customers. You will work both independently and alongside our account teams, selling to the Large Enterprise market to develop new accounts and/or expand existing customers within an established territory and/or channel.
This role reports to the Director, Professional Services Sales.
You Will:
- Lead the end to end sales cycle for our PS Sales team, including the pre-sales process both with and without the account team and sales support; You will need to understand customer’s business and technical objectives in order to deliver on services strategy, preliminary solution architecture, and Statement of Work related to the developed solution strategy
- Up-level customer/account team conversations across the full Customer Outcomes lifecycle to drive platform and multi-solution deals
- Create services opportunities, manage pursuits, present project SOW’s and be a leader in closing deals
- Manage and maintain the customer relationship from initial discussions to close of the deal and maintain customer relationships to help ensure project success and support the sale of additional services offerings
- Conduct yourself as the leader and driver of each Tier I project engagement, providing status updates to the sales team in a pro-active cadence, through engagement closure
- Present Professional Services offerings to existing customers and new prospects
- Work closely with customer procurement teams to develop relationships and move opportunities through the cycle
- Work collaboratively across Professional Services leadership on resource planning to ensure successful knowledge transfer and onboarding of new customers
- Meet or exceed Services quotas to generate Professional Services sales by
- Leading the PS Sales team to maximize revenue growth and business critical adoption throughout the customer’s enterprise
- Develop and present a multi-year Services strategy to prospects and existing customers
- Serving as a trusted sales partner and leader of Services sales strategy among the account teams
You Have:
- 12 years of experience carrying a services sales quota for enterprise customers, closing Professional Services opportunities >$250k
- Ability to successfully communicate and position the value proposition of the PS offerings through:
- Territory management and account planning
- Prospecting and identifying business opportunities in assigned territory
- Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication, to include: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, proven closing techniques
- Expertise in persuasive communication techniques through presentation and written form
- Ability to develop and articulate Business Cases / ROI studies
- Ability to travel, as needed, up to 30%
- BS degree or equivalent
- Experience with Smartsheet is a plus

Smartsheet provides a competitive base salary range for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive incentive opportunity and RSU stock grant upon accepted offer.

All other US States: 100,000-140,000
