We are looking for a Director of Product Management to join our Mobile team at Smartsheet to lead the product vision and strategy that will elevate the core mobile experience for Smartsheet customers leading to deep engagement and long-term retention of our passionate customers. These experiences will be well thought out and enable the customer journey across Smartsheet, with a focus on iOS and Android apps. This experienced product leader will focus relentlessly on customer needs, working with product managers and user experience designers to craft product features that will surprise and delight our customers.

You can be based remotely in the U.S. or our Bellevue, WA headquarters and will report to the Senior Director of Product Management.

You Will:

  • Be responsible for the customer voice as you work with data, design, technical, and business leaders to set strategy and define the product.
  • Define and manage the product roadmap & strategy, setting expectations with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish and continuously update the vision and roadmap for Smartsheet experiences with a focus on iOS and Android apps, but connecting to our full product and service line across web and devices.
  • You understand seamless customer experiences from one platform to another and how they together form a whole continuous end to end customer experience.
  • Manage a team of Product Managers, ensuring they have clear goals and responsibilities. Provide guidance to help them excel, and constructive feedback where necessary. Build a work environment that draws people to the team.
  • Partner with UX Design and UX Research to define good outcomes for qualitative testing, ensuring we are building the right experience for a diverse range of cultures.
  • Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks.
  • Collaborate with technology teams, UX, other product teams, and business development partners to determine what features to move forward and in what priority order.
  • Manage the execution of initiatives from idea through launch, while setting and managing the right expectations with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Define metrics for success and failure and analyze and create dashboards for key metrics.
  • Regularly review metrics and proactively seek out new and improved data/mechanisms for visibility, ensuring your program stays aligned with organization objectives.
  • Analyze market and trends to inform new recommendations.
  • Ensure business and technical stakeholder needs are aligned by driving mindful discussions that lead to crisp decisions.

You Have:

  • 10 years experience as a product manager for a software product, B2B or B2C cloud experience preferred.
  • 10 years experience as a people manager.
  • Experience in Enterprise software development.
  • Experience working with UX and engineering teams; deep commitment to customers and team collaboration.
  • Experience with project management, resource management or portfolio management methodologies
  • Passionate drive and extraordinary ability to communicate with customers, colleagues, and executives.
  • Passion for web-based business software.
  • Ability to evaluate and discuss technical concepts.
  • Experience with agile development processes and frequent product release cycles.
  • Experience working with data analytics and visualization.
