We are seeking an experienced Large Enterprise Account Manager to join our team. This role is crucial for maintaining and strengthening our relationships with large enterprise clients, particularly those experiencing slow growth trajectories or facing unstable partnerships. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the SaaS landscape, Enterprise IT partnership dynamics, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a strategic mindset to navigate complex account dynamics.
This is a remote eligible position and you may work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is registered.
You Will:
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to retain and grow accounts experiencing declining growth or challenging partnerships, ensuring long-term success and accelerated growth.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned large enterprise accounts, building and nurturing strong relationships with key decision-makers, executives and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular reviews with clients to understand their current challenges, opportunities, and future needs. Offer customized solutions and support to address their specific situations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to develop and deliver a cohesive and comprehensive support to clients.
- Monitor account health metrics, identify risk factors, and proactively implement retention strategies to prevent churn.
- Negotiate contract renewals and expansions, ensuring alignment with client needs and company goals.
- Provide insights and feedback from clients to internal teams to help shape future product developments and service offerings.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and market challenges to position Smartsheet as a leader in addressing the needs of large enterprises.
- Proactively identify areas of friction or inefficiency within client operations and processes.
- Work closely with clients to address challenges, provide guidance, and implement strategic solutions to course correct and pivot towards sustainable growth.
You Have:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management or client service roles, with a proven track record of retaining and growing large enterprise accounts in the SaaS industry.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with senior executives and key stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to assess account health and develop effective growth and retention strategies.
- Proficiency in CRM and account management software.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Smartsheet provides a competitive base salary range for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive incentive opportunity and some roles may be eligible for a RSU stock grant upon accepted offer. California & New York: $140,400 - $172,800 | All other US states: $130,000 - $160,000.
