SmartTalent is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for a local food production company based in Everett, WA. This is a temp to hire opportunity offering full time hours. Ideal candidates will be available to work both day and night shift as needed.
Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Everett WA
Pay: $26
Schedule: 4-10 hour shifts Possible Overtime

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
• Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts.
• Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Lubricates and cleans parts, equipment, and machinery.
• Tests and adjusts equipment to meet performance specifications.
• Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, saws, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
• Sharpens and reshapes tools as necessary.
• Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
• Repairs electrical equipment.
• Maintains a flexible schedule to accommodate variable shifts ranging from 4 - 18 hours depending on maintenance workload.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
• May participate and train with HazMat team.
Experience:
• Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and bagging machines preferred. Basic mechanical knowledge in food industry preferred.
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
