This position is expected to perform other related duties in conjunction with other employees and departments contributing to the overall team effort, efficient process, and safe working environment. Assist the shift Supervisor, Machine Operator, Production Planner and Engineers. Position includes many essential components necessary for successful and efficient manufacturing, and as such, shares full responsibility for the final product delivered to the customer.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Obtain daily priorities from daily production sheet
- Conduct daily mold cleaning on all IMM
- Install and remove mold from IMM following PSS
- Conduct molds cleaning before setup to prevent contamination on production
- Maintain 5S on Molding Machine, hoses and die carts
- Participate to restart all Injection Molding Machines on Mondays
- Perform checks on crane prior to use
- Follow ISO procedures when defined including all Clean Room protocols
- Utilize fork lift as necessary to move molds
- Return Fixtures or auxiliary equipment to the store room at end of production run
- Perform all tasks in a safe manner
- Regular attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; electrical and hydraulic training preferred
- Must be a self-starter, able to work with minimum supervision
- Must be proficient in counting and math
- Familiarity with 5S and lean manufacturing principles
- Must have good communication skills
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
Desirable Qualifications:
- Medical device manufacturing experience
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:
- Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Grasping, Feeling, Talking, repetitive motions and Hearing
- Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment and to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures
- Subject to noise, vibration, indoor and outdoor environmental conditions and atmospheric conditions to include fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation
- The environment includes a variety of physical conditions, such as moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding
