CNC Waterjet Operator -- will train

Immediate opening for long-term, full-time position at an industrial manufacturing company In Malvern, PA. Employee will be trained on the machine by SMC.

POSITION OVERVIEW: This position is for a team member who will train to operate SMC-Malvern’s CNC (Computer Numerical Control) waterjet machine, which is programed to cut patterns out of blanket insulation materials.

Reports to: Plant Manager

COMPENSATION: The compensation for this position begins at $15.50 per hour, with increases beginning upon completion of training. The position offers comprehensive benefits, including PTO, company-paid health & dental, 401k, life insurance, and profit sharing. The hours are typically 6am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail a must
• Basic computer skills and CNC machine running experience a plus
• Machine maintenance and forklift experience a plus
• Good reasoning and math skills
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Roll out or lift sheets of thin insulation material to load waterjet (moving/lifting up to 50 pounds)
• Follow paperwork guidelines that accompany sheets to choose the correct cut#, number of sheets, cutting speed, and height
• Start pump and allow waterjet to run
• Unload parts cut on waterjet onto carts in an organized fashion to prep for packaging, apply labels included in paperwork
