The purpose of this position is to drive and operate a combination vacuum truck to perform cleaning of underground stormwater facilities, jetting of storm drains, and cleaning of stormwater pipelines in preparation for CCTV inspection.
The jet / vac truck operator will be part of a 2-3 person crew depending on the needs and size of each project. Experience operating Vactor style combination jet / vacuum trucks and CCTV pipe inspection equipment is preferred.
The position is full time, with work weeks varying from 40-45 hrs depending on workload. Work hours will vary but are typically limited to weekdays.
Appropriate training for confined space entry will be provided if needed.
Responsibilities
- Complete pre- and post-trip inspections in accordance with FMCSA regulations
- Utilize I-Pad to manage daily work folders, photo document work, and enter in time and attendance for you and your crew members
- Work closely with crew members and project manager to ensure that projects are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently
- Ensure proper utilization of all PPE at all times (atmospheric meters, tripods, fall protection harnesses, etc.)
- Disposal of removed debris at appropriate disposal facilities
Requirements
- CDL with Tanker Endorsement (ability to drive manual preferred but not required)
- Currently possess or able to obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate
- Driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier
- Ability to perform manual labor as required to assist in the clean out of underground stormwater facilities
- Comfortable working in confined underground spaces (no claustrophobia)
- Positive attitude and ability to effectively communicate with supervisors / crew members
- Reliable transportation required (this position reports to our shop located in Parkton, MD)
