Hiring Range: $25-35/ Hour

Job Summary: The Construction Bookkeeper will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting of the business. This includes management of AR and AP, the creation of construction bank draws out of our construction management software, and updating QuickBooks. You will ensure that we have up to date subcontractor information and that invoices are paid on time. In addition to Bookkeeping, you will support and coordinate the pre-development construction process. This includes coordinating the completion of due diligence, pre-design inputs & updates, pre-construction permitting and the field superintendent handoff.
Essential Responsibilities: (Overview of the role; is not intended to outline every task and action)
Accounting
- Responsible for full-cycle accounting duties including processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, managing bank and general ledger reconciliations.
- Create, code and enter vendor invoices in construction management software
- Execute internal accounting process with accounts receivables, payables, draw requests and buyer invoices
- Prepare bi-weekly construction draws in construction management software and send to both banks and clients
- Job Costing for all open projects
- Communicate routinely with Project Managers on a variety of job-related topics including job costing and budget projections
- Coordinate with external accounting team to ensure compliance and provide documents for proper reporting
- Assist with other accounting and administrative duties, as assigned
Payroll
- Review and/or process payroll and third-party payroll invoices
- Prepare/book payroll entries
Administrative
- Coordinate the training of subcontractors on construction management software and billing procedures
- Data entry including uploading selections, inspection reports, and other project-specific documents to construction management software
- Coordinate deliveries made to Glendale office with field team
- ·Attend company and industry events, trainings, workshops, conferences, etc. as assigned
- Prepare project reporting on deliverables via construction management software to management and clients
- Other projects and duties as needed
Pre-Construction
- Coordinate and schedules subcontractors to complete due diligence reports
- Facilitate building and nurturing of excellent relationships with outside agents involved in the permitting process
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other consultants to meet deadlines
- Report job status updates and third-party approvals in our software to ensure to ensure team is notified and schedule progresses

Computer Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office programs (required)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required)
- Experience using BuilderTrend or another construction management software (preferred)
- Must be able to use and acquire knowledge of a variety of computer software applications
Experience & Education Requirements
- Construction accounting experience (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
