Logistics Associate
1st Shift
Location: US - Memphis/Appling
The Logistics Associate II is responsible for the proper receipt of all Loaner & Convention Services assets upon return to Commercial Share Services. They will also be responsible for inbound /put away of individual SKUs for Set Build and for maintaining inventory accuracy counts. They are responsible for the segregating and prepping these assets before they are inspected and shipped out to support cases or assembled for deployment.
The Logistics Associate II must maintain accurate records of all sets upon arrival, when processed, and if the assets are incomplete. The Logistics Associate II must be willing to connect with our customers to communicate and retrieve the remaining assets. They will also need to be flexible and willing to work in other areas outside of their primary function. Versatility and organization is a must to maintain accurate records for audit purposes.
Essential Functions:
Inventory Control
- Processes Loaner & Convention Services assets returns
- Ensure all assets are accounted for during returns process
- Provide data of incomplete inventory returns to manager for monthly metrics
Inventory Management
- Assists the Loaner Services Manager with reducing inventory.
- Focuses on communicating data to Field Offices to recovery incomplete assets
Process of Assets to Support Customers
- Perform prewash and wash functions on returning assets
- Uses Automated Washers and Sonic Tank to prepare assets to be inspected
- Processes emergency asset shipments outside the shipment schedule
Monitor Operations
- Maintain records of wash cycles and asset log
- Follows-up with customers to recovery missing/lost assets
Assist Office Personnel
- Assists with other department functions as necessary or as assigned by management
- Ensure favorable collaborations with Shared Services & the sales force are maintained by providing responsive and reliable service for requests vital to support the business
Education:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience with emphasis in Logistics Management or Operations Management
Licenses/Certifications:
N/A
Experience:
Five (5) years experience in Medical Device, Surgical Processing, Materials Management, Customer Service, Distribution, or related fields
Competencies:
Position requires self-reliance and confidence for broad empowerment as directed by the Manager
Other:
Window Office Suite required-Windows, Word, Excel, Internet Explore and Email. Access (or other relational database) is a plus. Experience in a production planning, inventory management or customer service system is required.
Physical Demands:
Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time throughout the workday as consistent with a warehouse and office environment.
Bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling of materials as needed to conduct daily work activities.
