The role…
We are seeking an experienced Customer Success professional to join our Account Management team. You will be responsible for nurturing relationships with existing clients and driving their continued adoption of Smokeball, as well as generating revenue through the renewals process. A customer centric mindset is critical to the success of this role, along with being a contributing and uplifting team member to your colleagues on the account management team.
Your responsibilities in a nutshell:
- Monitoring the health of your clients, looking for ways to increase both their usage of Smokeball and the value of Smokeball to their firm
- Strategizing with key users on how to best utilize Smokeball to accomplish specific goals
- Responding to client inquiries and directing them to the resources they need
- Negotiating renewals with a focus on selling long-term contract options
- When it’s safe, travelling to meet clients in person and show them some TLC

The BEST part about working at Smokeball is the amazing team of people I get to spend time with every day. They are a dedicated bunch who act as a coach to their clients to help them see the tremendous value in our software but also in themselves and the limitless potential for their law firm. Outside of work, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my wonderful wife and two young kiddos. I also love DIY projects, since I love to figure out how things work, whether it’s installing a ceiling fan, or better understanding a client’s journey with Smokeball. If you want to learn a little about home improvement, and a lot about how to elevate the client experience - I am your guy.

What you Bring…
- Up to 3 years of experience in Customer Success and/or Account Management roles in a SaaS/LegalTech organization OR Business Development within in a law firm
- Proven ability to consistently hit revenue numbers
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to own challenging conversations
- Genuine desire to interact and connect with clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both internal and external
- Knowledge of law firms and the legal world a huge plus
- Experience using Salesforce and ChurnZero preferred
- Strong business acumen skills (time management, organization, negotiation)
