JOB SUMMARY:
Supports the goals of Safety National by leading multiple engineering teams responsible for on premise and cloud applications, infrastructure, and networks. This role is accountable for the creation of Infrastructure roadmaps, standards, and metrics. The Director of Infrastructure Engineering provides direction and is accountable for the development, support, and maintenance of the processes necessary to ensure the various architecture components align with Safety National’s overall technical architecture.
Accountable for the Infrastructure Engineering Unit achieving their IT Service Management (ITSM) goals. Develops and maintains the processes necessary to ensure consistent delivery of high quality services that enable our customers to meet their objectives. Responsible for the creation and use of metrics that align with our ITSM goals to drive the continuous improvement of the ITSM function within the Infrastructure Engineering Unit.
The role is responsible for planning, executing and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and budgets. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members, third-party contractors, and consultants in order to deliver projects according to business plan. Manages the project’s objectives and oversees quality control throughout its lifecycle.
The role reports directly to the AVP of Infrastructure and Technology Transformation.

Responsible for leadership of the Infrastructure Engineering Unit which includes the Core Infrastructure, Collaboration, End User Computing, and Systems Operations teams.
Develops an annual budget recommendation for the Infrastructure Engineering Unit to support strategic, tactical, and operational initiatives that enable Safety National and IS departmental goals.
Accountable for resource management practices within the Infrastructure Engineering Unit such as resource forecasting, resource allocation, and time keeping.
Participates in I.T. governance, audit compliance, assessments, and planning.
Builds and maintains strong vendor relationships to achieve the organizational goals and objectives
Builds and develops a cohesive management team and promotes open communication among members to encourage cooperation and strong customer service.
Develops and maintains a multi-year staffing and development plan for the Infrastructure Engineering Unit.
Partners with application development and information security units to drive the appropriate adoption and use of cloud technologies.
Accountable for the protection of data required to provide continuity or to support disaster recovery.
Partners with application development in the implementation and continuous improvement of devops processes.
Accountable for system availability, performance, and capacity planning as well as the tooling required for each of these functions.
