Role Description:
In the role of Senior Accountant (internally known as "Senior Program Accountant"), you will be part of a highly specialized, unique team of dedicated employees who finds self-fulfillment in keeping records clean and balanced. You will work closely with various departments as you balance complex data consisting of claim payment check registers, loss runs, bank statements, and general ledger accounts. Your contributions of meticulously balancing everything is a data quality essential that will be felt throughout Safety National.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Process monthly claim adjustments into Claim Center, set up new banking for escrow accounts; set up escrow accounts on claims that exceed the deductible or retention limit. Reconcile, research and resolve complex account discrepancies, including, bank reconciliations, check registers and funding escrow accounts, etc. You may also be assigned various projects as needed by the department.
The ideal candidate is someone who finds self-fulfillment in keeping records balanced. Some of the essential skills required of you in this role are understanding complex reconciliation, critical thinking, and the ability to work well with people, and carry a positive attitude. Prior experience with advanced Microsoft Excel skills is preferred.

Qualifications:
Education:
- A Bachelor's in Accounting, Business, Finance, or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 – 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Exhibit intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Possess strong skills and experience with reconciling large data sets.
- Must have good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be dependable, organized, motivated and accountable with a mature attitude.
- Possess the ability to prioritize tasks when work independently, as well as within a team.
- Value efficiency, accuracy and be detail oriented; adhering to established procedures.
