The Job…

Snap Finance is currently looking for a Director of Product Analysis and Optimization to join our growing Business Solutions team. The ideal candidate someone with a strong background in analytics and is a master at uncovering and presenting business opportunities through data.

In this role, you will support projects related to our Business Solutions team. You will add the analytics perspective to the team while leading a small team of additional analysts. Your day will consist of interpreting data to discover insights, determining the optimal way to access the information, building reports, making recommendations, and presenting actionable findings to business partners.

You will help develop the existing team by providing mentorship, while challenging them to uncover additional business insights for our products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Senior Vice President of Business Product and the rest of the Business Solutions team to achieve team's goals
• Collaborate with other business units to identify and frame out meaningful analyses with actionable recommendations
• Work with business partners to develop and implement product strategies
• Manage the data needs of the Business Strategy team and maintain a strong partnership with the BI team
• Create reports for the business teams to use on an on-going basis
• Evaluate results in a logical and pragmatic manner and provide actionable insights
• Storytelling with data and visualizations
• Interact with Senior leadership to help resolve challenges and communicate results
• Perform deep dive analyses to help understand and manage portfolio dynamics
• Monitor performance, monitor critical business KPIs and recommend potential changes if needed

You…

• B.S. or M.S. in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or another Quantitative Field
• Located in Utah or Dallas TX – or willing to relocate to UT as this is a hybrid role
• 6-10 years of experience in similar analytics & product-driven roles (including new product launches, campaign tracking, funnel conversion optimization)
• At least 4-6 years in a leadership role with a track record of developing and coaching teams of Analysts
• Strong fluency in SQL and strong data mining skills
• Experience with data visualization and story telling through Tableau, PowerBI &/or PowerPoint
• Strong business acumen
• Previous experience with A/B testing
• Ability to look at business holistically and connect trends to make appropriate recommendations to the leadership teams
• Experience working in cross-functional teams involving Product, Engineering, Design, and Research
• Strong interpersonal skills and well-developed written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Demonstrated critical thinking, organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Comfortable in a dynamic environment

Preferred skills:

• Intermediate/advanced Python or R
• Consumer lending experience
• Previous Fraud or risk analysis experience
