We are looking for an Analytics Engineering Team Lead, to join our team at our. The ideal candidate will have some industry experience and will have a passion for building and documenting data models as well as developing people.
This person will take their expertise and apply it to exciting and diverse data to empower cutting edge and world class analytics, while developing their team, guiding, and inspiring them to be their best!
The Job…
- Lead a team of Analytics Engineers to develop and maintain data models, create data pipelines, and maintain data integrity in the analytics data ecosystem
- Collaborate with Data Engineering and Business Intelligence Engineering to improve the maturity and integrity of analytics data assets
- Represent the analytics department in major cross-functional initiatives
- Supervise the learning, development, and career progress of the Analytics Engineering team
- Own the strategic development of Analytics Engineering tools, and best practices
- Manage tools and methods for documenting major data sources
- Conduct industry research and monitor trends in Analytics Engineering domain to help establish the strategic direction and practices of the team
- Interact with stakeholders to gather and negotiate requirements, and maintain effective working relationships
- Lead strategic projects with cross-functional teams
You…
- Fluency in English, both in oral and written form
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Master's degree or equivalent practical experience (or PhD preferred) in a technical field such as computer science, information systems, mathematics, engineering, etc.
- 4 years' experience in one or more of the following areas: analytics engineering, data model development, software development, data engineering, BI engineering
Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required
- Strong background in Python
- Strong background in SQL
- Deep knowledge of Data Modeling and best practices
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of a variety of data sources
- Experience with structured and unstructured data
- Strong knowledge of data model development best practices
- Experience with AWS cloud services such as EC2 and S3
- Familiarity with common computing environment (e.g. Linux, Shell Scripting)
- Demonstrated ability to execute on a strategic vision
Preferred Skills (3 of the following):
- Experience with database design
- Worked with Streaming Data (Spark, Kafka), Graph Data, or APIs
- DBT power user
- Experience with data and automation workflows: Airflow, Docker, Jenkins, etc.
- Experience with developing and maintaining data pipelines for any of the following programs: SalesForce, Tableau, InContact, Amplitude or other click-stream data source, HubSpot
- Databricks power user
