Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Accountant will be joining Snap Kitchen’s rapidly growing accounting team. This position reports to the VP of Accounting and is responsible for all aspect of accounts payable, preparing journal entries, main vendor account reconciliations, and assist in other daily and period end accounting close tasks. The Accounts Payable Accountant will have the opportunity to improve and develop AP processes as the Company grows. We work in an open environment where we strive to collaborate across departments and work together as a team. The F&A team supports each other in all our shared responsibilities, goals and is looking to add another team player with a positive attitude!
What you will do...
- Obtain W9 forms and banking information to set up vendors correctly in QuickBooks.
- Retrieve electronic documents and invoicing from various vendor portals.
- Review and process invoices/credit memos through SAP Concur.
- Submit unapproved invoices to the appropriate employee and managers for approval. Carefully review invoices to ensure GL coding, department (class) and dates are correctly posted in QuickBooks.
- Confirm banking information, set up ACH templates, and process payments in CashPro for approval.
- Manage expense reports and travel reimbursement. Review cautiously expense reports to validate GL codes and receipts.
- Assist senior accountant with vendor statements and corporate card program reconciliations.
- Work with vendors to resolve issues or errors.
- Assists with period end accrual preparation, preparation and booking of basic general ledger entries and weekly reporting.
- Monitor AP inbox and address vendor payment inquiries.
- Assist with year-end duties including gathering vendor information for 1099s.
- Maintains AP systems, processes, and policies for AP functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
- Assist with implementation of inventory management system by validating data in collaboration with accountants.
- Post payroll journal entries and reconcile records to tax reports.
- Reconcile AP, accrued expenses and other liability accounts.
- File monthly tax returns (Use tax and business property tax).
- Participate in special projects as needed.

- Strong mathematical aptitude with experience working with numbers.
- Transactional accounting experience.
- Strong interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Fast learner, good time management skills and capable of meeting deadlines.
- Excellent work ethics, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate information to internal and external audiences in a clear, and brief manner.
- Experience with Excel/Google sheets pivot tables and other basic spreadsheet functionality.
- Experience working with SAP Concur or similar AP software.
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting system.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
