What are the responsibilities and job description for the International Project Specialist position at Snap-on Inc?
- Receive customer purchase orders and enter them into ERP system, ensuring PO terms and conditions match with customer’s account.
- Work with Procurement and other involved parties to expedite backordered product in order to meet customer’s delivery requirements.
- Review order availability and shipping requirements to schedule orders for shipment at the appropriate time.
- Coordinate production and shipping activities with operations resources to ensure timely and accurate shipment.
- Prepare International export documentation in accordance with established export regulations.
- Coordinate shipment logistics with internal operations resources, customer and freight forwarder(s).
- Interface with customers and account managers to provide requested information in a timely and professional manner.
- Work with accounting team as necessary to resolve any payment discrepancies or other issues.
- Resolve customer freight claims, working with internal resources, customer and freight forwarder as necessary.
- Communicate with product management and trade compliance teams to promptly resolve any customs documentation issues.
- Perform all other work as assigned by management.
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum three years of customer service experience; international customer service, logistics and/or compliance experience preferred
- Proficient data entry skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, multi-functional environment, while maintaining accuracy and achieving established goals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interface appropriately with various internal and external resources and customers
- Collaborative team player who can also work independently as necessary to achieve established goals
- Detail-oriented with sound judgment and strong analytical skills
- Creative and willing to adapt to changing business demands
- Ability to problem solve, using RCI principles where appropriate to resolve identified issues
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Excel, Word, Outlook; experience with Snap-on ERP (e.g. LN) system & Integration Point export software preferred
