What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator position at Snelling?
Summary:
Preferably someone with 2 years' experience as a machine operator with conveyor, cylinder, and a robotic experience.
The Machine Operator will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment, while efficiently processing material for our customers. The Machine Operator will be responsible for all aspects of the machine operation including, but not limited to:
- Inspect the machine on a regular basis to ensure that all safety regulations are followed
- Operate the machine according to specifications and manufacturer’s guidelines
- Maintain the machine and materials handling area in a clean and orderly manner
- Perform daily maintenance on the machine to ensure that it is operating properly
- Record all maintenance and changes to the machine on the production schedule
- Maintain all tools used in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications
- Follow all company safety rules and regulations
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly work area
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to follow procedures and directions.
- Pass Drug Screen and Background
Physical Demands: The physical demands for this position are sits, stands, bends, lifts, pushes, pulls, and fall for 10% of the time. This position requires long periods of time on your feet (up to 8 hours).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
