Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen and ensure the smooth running of all food preparation and cooking activities.
- Create and implement menus that are innovative, appealing, and in line with customer preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
- Manage inventory control to minimize waste and ensure adequate supplies are available.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop strategies for improving efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent menu planning abilities, including knowledge of current culinary trends.
- Proficient in supervising kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating.
- Knowledge of food management principles, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to manage shifts effectively to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Experience working in a dietary department is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with staff, customers, and management.
