OBJECTIVE SUMMARY: Dispenses supplies to all user departments in a prompt and efficient manner. Provides general information and status on availability of products and their use. Unloads, breaks down, tickets and stocks supplies. Stocks and exchanges supply carts, case carts and equipment. Issues supplies and equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Answers all inquiries on product availability and status of orders.
- Fills requisitions from stock and provides prompt delivery via transport to all user departments.
- Keeps the storeroom, staging, and dock areas clean and orderly at all times.
- Responds to emergency situations promptly and provides all supplies and equipment necessary to facilitate patient care.
- Answers telephone calls to the department, relays all messages to proper personnel; answers all requests for information and handles departmental demands authorized by the department supervisor.
- Unloads, breaks down, tickets, and restocks supply shelves.
- Assists in picking up used and/or contaminated supplies and equipment from nursing units.
- Performs other duties as requested/as needed.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Completion of High School/GED
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 1 year in a supply chain/distribution role, preferably in a healthcare setting
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years of experience in supply chain/distribution role, preferably in a healthcare setting
SKILLS:
Ability to read, write, perform simple mathematical calculations
- Be able to comprehend/follow/transmit written and detailed written and verbal instruction required
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology required in order to be consistent to the needs of nursing and physician services
- High level of mental/visual effort required to perform efficiently and effectively under stress

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
