Overview
Evolving regulatory requirements and aging infrastructure often present challenges to existing wastewater treatment facilities and collection systems. With a diverse knowledge base, Snyder & Associates helps develop wastewater solutions to overcome the challenges facing wastewater systems. Our design expertise ranges from lagoon systems to mechanical wastewater plants while also encompassing lift stations, flow equalization, force mains, and gravity sewers.
Our team proficiently evaluates existing systems and makes thoughtful, budget-minded recommendations for our clients. We’re prepared to assist with all project aspects, from the initial planning and funding qualification process, to design and construction document preparation, and finally through bidding and construction administration.
What we seek is an experienced engineer with a background in the design, construction and implementation of wastewater treatment systems and facilities. This position has leadership track opportunities to lead a team of wastewater treatment engineers.
Responsibilities
- Hands-on design of water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Develop strong working relationships with other team members
- Demonstrate ability to work as contributing team member
- Able to work with minimal direction to solve problems independently.
- Development of facility plans and technical reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in applicable engineering field
- 2 or more years’ experience in U.S.-based municipal wastewater systems
- PE designation required
- Familiar with SRF, USDA, and CDBG funding sources
- Proven design skills

- Strong communication skills - written and verbal
