What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer position at Soap Creek Resources?
In this role, you will be responsible for quality planning and production support across the parts-making business unit, including fabrication, welding, and paint departments. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all production processes meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency, contributing directly to the success of our operations.
Duties:
Including but not limited to:
- Provide tactical line support for production in welding areas
- Work with cross-functional teams across manufacturing, operations, supply chain, product support, and design
- Lead quality planning activities such as Functional Geometry Reviews, Failure Mode Effects Analysis, and Weld Fixture Validations; including the assistance on complex vendor parts
- Lead defect analysis and issue resolution team meetings for containment, root cause, and permanent corrective action
- Lead cross-functional alignment to develop and implement quality systems and processes to support welding sustainability
- Leading a team of quality technicians and Romer technicians on day-to-day activities
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technology discipline (4-year degree).
- Engineering Background: Mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, power systems, or a related discipline; possesses a general understanding of principles and applies knowledge with guidance.
- Computer-Aided Design/Engineering Tools: Proficient in using CAD and engineering tools, with a general understanding and ability to apply knowledge with assistance.
- Manufacturing/Distribution Knowledge: Preferred candidates will be familiar with manufacturing and distribution processes, quality standards, weld fixture tooling, tool design, preventive maintenance, and facility management.
- Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP): General understanding of EPDP principles and ability to apply them with some support.
- Experience: Three or more years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, especially Welding. Proven experience in driving quality, efficiency, and safety improvements.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
