Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the SECR Food & Beverage Supervisor, welcome and seat guests in a timely, professional and courteous manner, and provide them with quality guest service. Use the MICROS system to register and close all sales as appropriate. Properly reconcile all financial transactions and liabilities resulting from operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Tend to guests’ requests for food and beverage.
- Quote price and describe features of items for which money is received.
- Read and record totals shown on POS tape and verify against cash on hand.
- Cash out server tickets.
- Check identification for credit card payments and SECR complimentary transactions.
- Understand and follows all department policies, specifically, the ‘MICROS POS policies’.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment; assist in stocking and restocking products. Keep stations stocked and balanced at the end of each shift.
- Assist with the assembly and preparation of orders for guests.
- Answer phones and provide information.
- Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority. Must maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times.

- Contact with SECR F&B Shift Supervisors and team members to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Contact with guests to ensure accommodations are fulfilled.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to operate a POS.
- Must have basic math skills and pass a written math/MICROS test with 80% accuracy or better.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.
License, Certification, or Special Requirements:
- Native American preference shall apply to all positions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of basic mathematics and arithmetics.
- Knowledge of cash handling, banking, or accounting.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and food service principles.
- Knowledge of cash handling.
- Knowledge of guest service techniques.
- Ability to create a friendly atmosphere and demonstrate excellent guest service.
- Ability to operate a POS.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with co-workers at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict time lines.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form.

- Ability to work with the public in a courteous and professional manner.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent walking and use of hands, wrists, and fingers associated with running a POS and routine cash handling, and other items.
- Required to stand for extended periods of time.
- Stoop, bend, kneel or crouch.
- Normal auditory, visual acuity, and verbal communications skills.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Frequent walking and standing in a smoking environment and contact with the general public. Constant visual stimulation via neon lights on slot machines, repeatedly changing machine video screens, static or flashing signs throughout the casino and constant machine and crowd noise.
- Exposed to high volume of stressful situations.
- Extended hours and irregular shifts are required.
