What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Analyst position at Soboba Casino?

Summary

The credit analyst position is accountable for the entire credit granting process, including the consistent application of the credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers, with the goal of optimizing the mix of Gaming Revenues and Bad Debt losses. Under the direction of the Cage Manager, the Credit Analyst may oversee the daily shift activities within the cage/main bank location(s) and monitors the performance of cage personnel.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assists guests in the completion of applications for lines of credit with casino.
  • Reviews applications for completeness utilizing industry standard credit software.
  • Analyzes credit reports and banking information in preparation for review by the Credit Committee.
  • Initiates, maintains, and updates credit files.
  • Maintains collection of outstanding credit lines.
  • Develops Policies and procedures related to Credit.
  • Schedules and conducts Credit Committee meetings, takes meeting minutes and follows up to committee questions or requests.
  • Demonstrates excellent guest service skills that are consistent with our “Soboba Service Standards.”
  • Functions as a cashier in the cage, kiosk, and main bank facility. Based upon business demands, ability and experience.
  • Implements and provides training to all team members.
  • Ensures training and compliance of Equal Credit Opportunity Act (Regulation B), Fair Credit Reporting Act, BSA/AML, MSB and OFAC compliance.
  • Must be physically present to work a regular, reliable, and predictable work schedule in accordance with business demands, and maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.

  • Serve as a contributing Team Member of the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians enhancing the Casino’s operations in all its business endeavors.

Education / Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age, or older.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Knowledge of gaming Credit Software
  • Must have at least three (3) years related experience in casino or consumer credit.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to promote positive and professional image.
  • Must possess delegation and PC skills.
  • Must be able to run and understand credit reports.
  • Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.

Certificates, licenses and registration

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
  • Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
