Audio/Video Quality Control Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

AV QC techs are responsible for the quality control and maintenance of all audio and video equipment. Duties include:

· Clean and test all functions of Audio and Video equipment upon receiving into QC department to company standards. This includes but is not limited to speakers, microphones, mixing consoles, video and/or audio wireless systems, coms systems, monitors, audio and/or video converters, etc.

· Ensuring firmware on all equipment is up-to-date and perform updates when necessary

· Work with L&D/Returns Coordinator to report damaged equipment and assist with repair when applicable.

· Return tested equipment to the warehouse in an organized fashion.

· Work with Operations Dept to help Organize returns/QC area to ensure optimal workflow and efficiency

· Conduct occasional in-house equipment repairs when needed

· Assist in keeping the Engineering dept clean and organized at all times.

· Assist with any other duties assigned by Engineering Management

Qualifications:

· 3 years of a working knowledge and experience with current Video/Audio Equipment

· The ability to think and work independently, meet deadlines, and have extreme attention to detail

· Exceptional organizational skills

· Exceptional customer service skills

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

· Strong multitasking skills and ability to work well under pressure

· Passion for learning about the latest Video/Audio technology

· Available to work overtime, weekends and occasional holiday and be on-call

· Normal Schedule Mon – Fri 9 am – 6 pm but hours may vary based on need.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to spend up to 100% of work time standing or moving. Physical activities include using hand tools, bending, stooping, lifting, climbing stairs, carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis.
