Order to Cash Director
This role will be a full-time position to manage the Company’s overall order-to-cash cycle including revenue contract deal review desk, overseeing the global billing processes, revenue accounting, and cash collection targets and will serve as the finance organization’s subject matter expert on revenue accounting (606), as well as provide strategic direction for the revenue reporting process. This position will collaborate closely with Accounting, Finance, Sales Ops, and Customer Success teams to ensure timely and complete recording of bookings and revenue. In addition, this role will have accounting month end responsibilities, improve system reporting capabilities and drive process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Overall Order to Cash Process owner including calculating monthly GAAP revenue, accounts receivables, deferred revenues, and preparing EOM close packages.
- Manage the Global Financial Deal Desk to review quotes and/or customer agreements for proper revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP (ASC 606)
- Collaborate with Sales and Finance to ensure profitability targets achieved
- Document accounting conclusions per ASC 606 for large or non-standard revenue contracts
- Draft technical accounting papers to support Company’s accounting positions
- Periodically update the Rev Rec Policies and maintain ASC 606 Assumptions
- Consider implication of new accounting pronouncements on current policies and provide support on adoption of such standards
- Collaborate with Sales Operations to ensure SFDC data and financial systems are aligned
- Develop and maintain customer specific reporting capabilities including monthly customer variances analysis.
- Review Sales Commission calculations, cost capitalizations, and impairments
- Work closely with FP&A and Business Intelligence to ensure accuracy of forecasted revenue and other reporting
- Work closely with Product Management to monitor product changes for impacts to revenue recognition
- Develop, implement, and document the Company’s internal controls for the OTC cycle including IT controls
- Support ad hoc projects, including systems implementation, and process improvements related to revenue processes including SaaSOptics, and Netsuite
- Liaise with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and year-end audits, including discussing technical revenue accounting issues and internal control findings
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's in finance, accounting, or other relevant business field. CPA preferred.
- 7 years of relevant revenue and technical accounting experience, including Big Four or public accounting experience.
- 3 years of experience leading and managing teams
- SaaS based industry experience is required.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of US GAAP, including working knowledge of ASC 606.
- Ability to resolve complex accounting issues.
- Detail oriented and organized; proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams and work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
- Desire to continuously improve and a positive, "can-do" approach.
- Knowledge and experience with SaaSOptics, Netsuite, and Salesforce strongly preferred.
