Department Summary:
The CCR/Treasury Operations Department is responsible for monitoring and ensuring margin requirements at the Exchanges are met in a timely and efficient manner. Execute proper settlement of client and firm collateral activity. Responsible for the cash and collateral management of client and firm activity, reviewing General Ledger entries and balances, and to provide support to Treasury Front Office.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the Firm’s liquidity requirements with strong interaction with Treasury Front Office.
- Manage margin coverage at Carry Brokers and Exchanges.
- Input of receipt and payment data in to treasury system
- Apply basic financial concepts to solve problems and prepare reports for analysis
- Manage daily data collection process
- Assist in timely payment of international and domestic wires
- Assist in collateral processing
- Balance collateral positions lodged at Banks and Exchanges.
- Manage margin coverage at Carry Brokers and Exchanges.
- Assist with investigation & documentation of all wire and collateral differences
- Create and maintain USD cash forecast
- Review previous day’s balances and investigate missing items
- Produce daily and monthly reports
- Prepare daily segregated / secured target balance
- Ensure proper controls are processing and regulation.
- Report cash balances daily to help maintain proper liquidity
- Maintain overdraft listing for processing by Cash Manager
- Review Reconciliations to make the correct entries in a timely fashion
- Participate in any and all Treasury projects assisting in both development and implementation
Competencies:
- General knowledge of Treasury with a focus on the Derivatives, Cleared Swaps, Futures Equities and Fixed Income area
- Basic understanding of Accounting
- Strong Microsoft Office experience required
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Must be able to identify and research questionable items
- Proven ability to multi task and work in a high paced and highly regulated environment
- The ability to make sound judgment and willingness to make decisions by prioritizing tasks and analyzing the costs and risks to the firm
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- An assertive personality, that is able to deliver according to tight deadlines in fast moving "broker" environment.

Qualifications:
Experience Needed: 5 - 15 years
Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics preferred or equivalent work experience
