Job Description
The Principal Level III Technician will perform hands-on Non-Destructive Testing and Examination (NDT / NDE) at customer sites.
The technician will perform the applicable NDT method of Radiography, Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant and Visual testing.
They will be able to assess the integrity of the item inspected with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications;
Ensure compliance with all safety and quality procedures, laws, regulations, and customer requirements.
Own personal and overall job site safety, stopping the job if required due to unsafe conditions or lack of compliance to quality requirements.
Perform day to day and routine safety observations and inspections.
Perform pre-job preparations of equipment, job walkdowns, procedural reviews, etc. as required by the specific work scope.
Perform hands on NDT / NDE work interfacing with the customer and directing / training Technician Assistants / Apprentices based on the specific work scope.
Ensure work and used materials are compliant with manufacturer and customer specifications.
Perform post-job equipment, job walkdowns, procedural reviews, etc. as required by the specific work scope for the completed work and future work scheduled / planned.
Complete applicable job reports and other paperwork as required.
