The Role:
As a Product Manager, you will be charged with designing, building and maintaining a highly available, scalable, and predictive feature generation platform to support our models identifying good and bad actors in time-bound contexts. You will work closely in a fast paced and highly fluid environment with engineers, data scientists, designers, and stakeholders throughout the company to ideate, create, iteratively launch and learn, before taking the market by storm.
This is end-to-end ownership, supporting the company's most important products, used in production by the majority of tier-1 financial institutions.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead a cross-functional team of data science, engineering, design, growth, and marketing. You'll guide product definition, strategy, and long-term vision for inclusive onboarding.
- This system is generating large value, and was recently released in production to our larger set of clients.
- Evolving the formation and working methods of the teams
- Applying this toolset to new and useful problems (as it is relatively new)
- Maturing the platform so that it is easy to test, update, do retro tests, scale up, etc.
- Articulate complex subject matter in compelling easy-to-understand terms
- Take ownership for the success of the team and the products within the suite
- Help organizations make consistent, immediate and low-risk/high-reward decisions about the end-user
- Enable monitoring and optimization strategies in a safe simulation environment allowing for on-the-fly adjustments leading to better performance explainability before promoting to production
- Connect the dots from different surface areas and attack vectors
- Run user research, usability studies, data-driven experiments to inform product direction through auto-acceptance understanding unusual trends while leveraging data patterns and anecdotal feedback
- Quantify the impact your strategy and recommendations will have in meaningful ways without sacrificing long-term value for short-term gains
- Lead tactical execution and amplify data science, engineering, growth, and marketing productivity at scale.
What You’ll Bring:
- 5 Years in Product Management or related experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience. An MBA, M.S. in Decision Science, Predictive Analytics, Behavioral Economics, Operations Research or similar graduate degree is nice-to-have
- Breadth and depth of practical AI/ML product management
- Preferred: Experience with fraud and/or anomaly detection with expressive understanding of information security, data privacy and fraud risk regulation
Technical:
- Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies; working well with data scientists and engineers
- Light process to deliver results; exceptional communication
- Creativity and the ability to generate lots of ideas that matter
- Practical experience packaging & positioning ideas in ways that uniquely appeal to stakeholders across verticals
- Enthusiasm for minimalism design and elegance through simplicity
- Proven ability to deliver business and consumer insights via focus groups, usability, surveys, behavioral data, and most important, A/B testing of hypotheses and disconfirming initial beliefs
Functional Leadership:
- Conceptually sound visionary, omni-directional influence, and persuasive storytelling
- Experience managing, organizing, developing and scaling teams & organizations.
- Consistent ability to develop hypotheses for how to delight customers in hard-to-copy, margin-enhancing ways.
