The **Sodexo Proposal Development Center** (PDC) is seeking a **Graphic Designer** who can harness the power of InDesign to create proposals and associated collateral for sales opportunities. Candidates for this role must be self-motivated, talented, enthusiastic, highly organized, and have a well-rounded understanding of design principles and process. **You should have excellent technical skills and be eager to put them to use** .
You will oversee your assigned projects from conception to completion, but you must be a team player who is able to collaborate with other functional group team members (writers/project managers), other designers and internal stakeholders. A successful candidate can competently manage multiple projects, objectives and continually shifting deadlines, and operate with a sense of urgency.
This position is far more layout than custom design, but we are looking for someone who is **innovative, proactive and tech-savvy!** Our fast-paced, high-pressure environment occasionally requires extended hours due to strict client-prescribed deadlines.
Required skills include:
**Expert-level InDesign skills** with experience working with style sheets, parent pages and templates
Proficient in additional **Adobe Creative Suite** design programs (Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat)
Experience in a wide variety of formats **with a focus on lengthy (100 page), text-heavy print documents. (** If you are a logo/t-shirt/web designer, this probably isn't a good fit for you.)
High proficiency in **MS Office** (Word, PowerPoint)
**Proficient in Mac** but with working knowledge of a PC environment
Prefer experience with interactive media (i.e., digital magazines, interactive PDFs, plug and play websites, etc.)
Preference given for prior experience with **Sales Proposals** and a deadline-driven environment
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with staff at all levels of our organization are vital
Creative, **relevant** portfolio required. **Portfolio must include samples of long-form documents to be considered.**
