InReach is looking a Operations Manager in our Lombard/Chicago, IL branch. The Operations Manager is a key stakeholder within our team ensuring customer satisfaction, leading company guidelines and processes, and ultimately company profitability.
The successful candidate will:
- Work closely with the Distribution Manager, Warehouse, and Service in daily operations and holding departments and staff accountable
- Ensure all branch departments work as one team
- Identify customer issues quickly, and promptly respond with appropriate communication and/or corrective action with operations and Key Account Managers
- Coordinate execution of field pricing changes and other strategic projects
- Coordinate new account execution and assists with client management & retention
- Collaborate with other departments to improve all business processes, efficiencies and best practices
- Champion a safety-focused work environment for all operations
- Carrie out all leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
We are looking for candidates who:
- Has 5 years of combined management experience required with a preference within the distribution industry
- Has valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Possess the ability to obtain security clearance for customer locations
- Is an effective communicator and collaborator with passion for developing talent through coaching and accountability
- Is able to demonstrate urgency and problem-solving skills with a dedication to customer service and associate accountability
- Has the ability to learn and work within database inventory management software, route scheduling software, and Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Has the ability to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs and able to perform work in outside weather conditions

Position Summary
Provides local leadership and strategic direction to build client relationships and new business opportunities to enhance profitability for the Company. Directs business practices in order to uphold Company mission and values. Develops new and emerging business solutions for sustained growth and effective day-to-day operations.
Key Duties-Management of warehouse and distribution through processes and policy’s. Monitor quality and integrity through planned and unplanned visits and route rides. Plan and implement new processes to delivery highest quality of services
-Central Point of Contact for Client Liaison promoting a solid business partnership - assists in contract negotiations for the system. Provides strategic leadership to the respective units within the system to maintain client satisfaction and retention. Encouraged to drive sales through site visits and partnerships with other divisions as well as new business outside of our food contracts.
-Develops business plan and budget that supports the System and District goals – Reviews and analyzes financial statements and data and other financial information to ensure attainment of financial goals for both the client and Sodexo.
-Maintains Quality & Company Standards – reviews and maintains reports to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and Sodexo / System Client(s) policies and procedures.
-Responsible for system succession planning/employee development/diversity initiatives/training/constructive counseling. Promotes and supports workplace diversity initiatives.

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years
