Status: Fulltime
Schedule: M-F 40/hrs
Location: San Antonio, TX
Compensation: $31,200/year commision

Position Summary
The Route Driver 10K or More Gross Combined Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) is responsible for running a route, delivering product in the vending, self-checkout, or office coffee service channels.
General Responsibilities:
- Driving a vehicle that, based on weight, meets the Motor Carrier Act exemption from overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act
- Timely delivers product orders to customers to ensure continuous supply
- Checks the accuracy of product and ensures product is not expired
- Ensures customer areas are adequately stocked (vending machine, market, or coffee supplies)
- Ensures that the appearance and presentation of the company’s products and/or equipment at the customer location follows established protocols
- Conducts product inventories at customer sites
- Orders the correct quantity and types of products needed to stock customer accounts to maximize sales and minimize product loss
- Communicates customer-related or product-related problems to appropriate personnel
- Partners with the customer to understand needs, and reacts to feedback to modify offerings
- Increase sales volume by making decisions about food substitutions or offerings
- Handles, collects, and secures money
- Maintains professional appearance and attitude when interacting with customers in the field
- Cleans vehicle and performs routine vehicle maintenance
- Follows Department of Transportation safety regulations and obeys state and local traffic laws
- Operates vehicle in accordance with Sodexo Vehicle Safety Program
Qualifications & Requirements
- Willingness to be open to learning and growing.
- Maturity of judgment and behavior.
- Maintains high standards for work areas and appearance.
- Attends work and shows up for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity in light of Sodexo time and attendance policy and/or client operating hours.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule if needed.
- Must comply with any dress code requirements.
Experience/Knowledge:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
License/Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record required
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Physical Requirements:
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses
- Significant walking or other means of mobility
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull and frequently lift up to 35 pounds. Occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.
Working Conditions (may add additional conditions specific to defined work location):
- Generally, work is performed in an indoor setting in a controlled, temperate environment; however, may be exposed to heat/cold during outside activities and events
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
- Wears protective clothing and/or Personal Protective Equipment required by the work environment or governmental regulations
