Sodexo has an immediate opening for a Sous Chef at HCA The Woman's Hospital of Texas located in Houston, TX.Woman's Hospital of Texas is the state’s premier facility dedicated to the health of women and children offering expertise and an outstanding level of care in breast health, imaging, gynecology, minimally-invasive surgery, infertility, obstetrics, high-risk pregnancy NICU (neonatal intensive care) and pediatrics. We deliver over 800 babies a month, more than any other hospital in Texas, and care for more multiple births than any other hospital in the region.

 

The Sous Chef will assist in the day to day operations of our patient dining while ensuring food safety. The ideal candidate will be a culianarian leader who is knowledgeable of HACCP and kitchen operations, menu planning, and inventory management.

The successful candidate will:

  • be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting;
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
  • have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
  • ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or
  • have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.

What We Offer

Sodexo offers fair and equitable compensation, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.

Position Summary

Leads food preparation at one station of a foodservice operation (i.e., salads, soups). May supervise less than two full time employees.
