Our client is a global Aerospace and Defense supplier. Their Guidance & Navigation Division requires a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to work with the next generation inertial measurement and navigation products and solutions for use in aircraft, UAV's, missiles, land vehicles, and sea platforms. This will require participation in requirements definition, software design and implementation, peer review, software test and validation, and generation of supporting documentation.
Technical Focus:
- Experience with debugging strategies for embedded systems including emulators and logic analyzers.
- Ability to collaborate with a team of engineers and support staff in a laboratory setting.
- Experience with additional programming languages such as Python. Ada knowledge a plus.
- Real time application design experience.
- Model based software development using tools such as SCADE, Simulink, MATLAB.
- Familiarity with microcontrollers and digital signal processors.
- Ability to interpret electronics schematics.
- Experience with inertial navigation concepts.
- Experience with DO-178C software certification process.
- Experience with the Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE).
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong development skills with C/C programming languages.
- 7 years of embedded or control systems programming (ideally 3 years targeting Multi Processor System on a Chip (MPSoC) architectures.
