Accounting:
SOH Dental is a fast-growing organization putting people first. Now nearly 500 people strong, our Dental Support Organization (DSO) affiliates with successful dental practices throughout the US. We have an aggressive, yet controlled and strategic growth plan that is recession proof. Our model is to leverage our efficiencies, expertise, and economies-of-scale at our Chesterfield (St. Louis), Missouri Shared Support Center to handle the back-office functions for our 40 dental practices, thus removing the practitioners’ burdens of running a business and allowing them to focus on delivering the highest patient care outcomes.
The Financial Analyst will work on general accounting and financial reporting functions for the entire organization. This individual will assist the Accounting & Finance Staff to continue efficient and standardized accounting and financial reporting processes. This includes implementing, and/or maintaining accounting processes to consistently, accurately, and completely account for the numerous transactions in a timely and controlled-risk manner. The Financial Analyst will prepare, reconcile, and analyze the underlying financial data, records, and support to the reported balances in the accounting system ledger.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Accounting:
- Prepare and/or review journal entries for routine and non-routine transactions
- Work with Accounts Payable team from invoice to payment, including vendor communications
- Assist Accounts Receivable team with reconciliation and account migrations.
- Review, investigate, and correct errors or inconsistences in general ledger accounts
- General reconciliation for month-end close and accounts payable
- Assistance with annual audit procedures conducted by a third-party
Financial Reporting:
- Generate or contribute to complete and accurate month end and quarterly closing reports (e.g., balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements) and deliver to Management in a timely manner
- Generate or contribute to complete and accurate month end and quarterly performance and financial planning reports (e.g., budgeting, ROI calculations, operational metrics, etc.) and deliver to Management in a timely manner
- Work with the Controller to continuously improve processes as well as establishing new processes where applicable
_ Analysis: _
- Analysis by office across various periods on A/R Aging buckets, DSO, Credit balances, Production, Collection, Adjustments as of % of Revenue, etc.
- Cash Flow & Forecasting assistance
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business driven major preferred but not required
- Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft Excel
- Experience in NetSuite is a plus
