Job Description
As a Procurement Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in executing strategic supply chain category strategies, aligning with our targets and schedules to achieve goals in cost management, inventory optimization, supplier management, and process improvement. You'll be the driving force behind our Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction while fostering continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Stellar Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between Business Unit partners and suppliers/contractors/subcontractors to ensure seamless material/service/labor flow, meeting or exceeding service levels at the lowest cost.
- Efficient Procurement Execution: Oversee inbound/outbound shipments, develop inventory optimization strategies, and utilize MRP systems for resource planning, collaborating with Inventory Management to resolve discrepancies.
- Streamlined Procure-to-Pay Process: Execute P2P process for goods and services efficiently, maximizing value and monitoring performance to drive expected results.
- Strategic Sourcing: Lead RFx processes to source innovative suppliers, negotiate contracts up to $5M, and ensure compliance with key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Contract Management: Develop and manage contracts, resolve contract issues, and ensure compliance with APS requirements, exercising independent judgment in vendor selection and negotiation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Manage internal and external stakeholders, influencing project progression and acting as the procurement contact for Business Unit concerns.
- Effective Negotiation: Lead negotiations with suppliers, build strong relationships, and manage pricing, invoices, and change orders to drive cost savings and efficiency.
- Supplier Performance Management: Analyze and manage supplier performance to reduce costs, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement, developing effective KPIs and metrics.
- Market Insight: Stay abreast of supplier markets, proactively addressing Business Unit challenges and utilizing analytical tools for data-driven decisions.
- Collaborative Strategy Development: Participate in category strategy development, collaborating with senior procurement staff to achieve targeted supply chain results.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline, plus two years of relevant experience. Alternatively, six years of significant, closely related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Exposure to strategic supply chain management.
- Proficiency in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
