Compensation:$70,000 - $90,000 DOE
Responsibilities:- Prevent injuries, slowdowns, and project risks by demanding complete adherence to health and safety standards on construction sites, and reporting safety regulation issues promptly
- Conduct business with external vendors, contractors, and critical subcontractors to negotiate profitable contracts
- Keep key stakeholders informed of the project’s status by producing frequent progress reports
- Lead, manage and hold direct reports accountable
- Determine the project deliverables and specifications, including the project scope, necessary project resources, and estimated labor needed by collaborating with clients, engineers, designers, JHAs, vendors, and subcontractors
- Manage the installation schedule, coordinating all construction timelines and operations into an intuitive plan so the team is on track to meet deadlines
- Supervise crew leads and subcontractors, providing direction when needed to ensure the quality of the job
- Requisition of materials, equipment, and services on time and within the project budget
- Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained from the appropriate authorities and ensure construction is up to code
- Communicate billing milestones to Accounting in a timely manner
- Keep project management tools and software up to date
- Provide technical assistance to crew members as needed and identify areas for training
- Check to commission reports at the end of each project. Facilitate handoff back to Sales/Service
- Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is highly valued
- Excellent time-management, organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Experience using construction or project management software preferred
- Finished training for OSHA 30 license
- At least one year of previous experience as a construction project manager required
- Understanding of solar energy systems and/or roofing desired
- Post-secondary credential or Journeyman-level training
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Supervisory, budgeting, and planning experience
- In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building codes, blueprints, permits, construction equipment, material resources, construction processes, and project management principles
