Overview

SolarWinds is a leading provider of powerful and affordable IT infrastructure management software. Our products give organizations worldwide, regardless of type, size or IT infrastructure complexity, the power to monitor and manage the performance of their IT environments, whether on-premises, in the cloud, or in hybrid models. 

 

Working with our largest MSP customers, the Principal Account Executive will strategize and achieve growth opportunities. This is a business development role, driving long-term engagement and growth. The ideal candidate will act as a growth strategist, offering enterprise account management experience, coined with knowledge of marketing and product propositioning. Taking a collaborative and proactive approach to leadership, the Principal AE will also mentor other sales professionals.


Responsibilities

  • Offer big picture thinking to help partners/customers plan their long-term growth
  • Ensure SolarWinds' products are at the heart of this long-term growth strategy for the partner
  • Identify follow-on opportunities to place more of our product where applicable, expanding our partner footprint (consolidation and standardization)
  • Closely partner with Customer Success to identify immediate and medium-term growth opportunities, while addressing short-term churn risks

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in Enterprise Account Management or Sales, Enterprise Marketing, Product Management or Business Development
  • Experienced strategist, defining growth plans which turn into actions, delivering demonstrable results
  • Exceptional presenter, able to deliver complex messages in a compelling manner
  • Dynamic, self-motivated, positive individual with a high energy level and strength in driving new sales
  • Great comfort and resilience in a rapidly changing environment
  • Adept at dealing with uncertainly; an ability to color outside the lines
  • Collaborative team player
  • Aggressive, eager and willing to give 150% of their energy and time
