Optician

We are a family owned and operated eye health center in the Aurora community. We have been in practice for over 5 years and continue to passionately educate our patients on eye health practices. We are looking for a positive, motivated and energetic optician who desires to grow and advance with our practice.

Responsibilities include:

• Review Physician’s prescriptions and order based on medical charts
• Operate manual lensometer and other tools to achieve proper fittings for patients
• Sales and dispensing of glasses and contact lenses
• Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences
• Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames
• Making minor frame adjustments and repairs as needed
• Pretesting using auto-refractor, visual field analyzer, retinal camera (Optos)

• Bilingual preferred (Spanish)
• Experience preferred, willing to train the right candidate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

• Sales: 1 year (Preferred)
