The Role The Loan Underwriter is responsible for researching and analyzing credit risks, assessing credit history, and approving or denying extension of credit to potential or current customers. What You’ll Do Analyze credit data to determine the risk in extending credit. Make decisions to approve or deny the extension of credit within a set authority established by senior management and state and federal laws. Develop and maintain positive relationships with dealer clients by providing exceptional customer service on all credit and policy questions to maximize efficiency with the company. Maintain an environment that facilitates compliance. Ensure all credit decisions are communicated within the timeline provided by management. Other duties as assigned by management. What You’ll Bring Minimum 3 years of Underwriting experience. Requires PC proficiency in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to read and interpret the three major credit bureau’s, Trans Union, Equifax and Experian Proven record and extensive background in the consumer finance industry It is impossible to list every requirement for, or responsibility of, any position.
