Position : School Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHHT)

Qualifications :
- Must have a Master's degree in Deaf Education
- Must have an ACTIVE State License in Deaf Education
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in an educational setting preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills preferred
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
- Facilitate the development of communication skills, including sign language, speech, and auditory skills
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure students' educational goals are met
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' progress and inform instructional planning
- Advocate for students' needs and provide guidance to families regarding resources and services
Job Details :
- Compensation : $35 per hour
- Weekly Pay
- Caseload : PreK-5th
- Hours : 15 hours per week; Part Time
