Job Description : We are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team for the upcoming 24 / 25 school year.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the needs of students in through the provision of comprehensive occupational therapy services within a school-based setting.
Responsibilities :
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student s unique needs and goals, in collaboration with the student s IEP team and family members.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and other relevant professionals to integrate therapy goals and strategies into the student s educational program.
- Recommend and assist in the procurement of adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and environmental modifications to enhance students participation and engagement in school activities.
- Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to address identified areas of concern, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities and strategies.
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups, both within designated therapy spaces and within the classroom environment.
- Monitor and document students progress regularly, maintaining accurate records of assessment results, treatment plans, and session notes in compliance with legal and professional standards.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing education, support, and guidance on how to reinforce therapy goals and techniques at home
