What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT Relief Packer- Night Shift position at Soliant?
Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and are currently recruiting for a PT Relief Packer to join our team of manufacturing professionals in Hanover, PA on Third Shift.
As a PT Relief Packer, this candidate will be responsible for inspecting and packing quality products into boxes, cartons, cans, and specialty containers in a team atmosphere while working reduced packer hours in order to relieve packers during breaks. This position works Sunday-Thursday from 11:00 PM – 4:30 AM.
Key Responsibilities
- Packs bags of chips into boxes.
- Inspects packaged items and alerts machine operator or shift supervisor of any changes.
- Checks weight of package; verifies code dates and price; examines package for proper seal.
- Removes brown, green, and uncooked chips after chips leave the fryer.
- Places box, cans or specialty container onto skids.
- Prepares items when “extra.”
- Lines cans and caddies; labels boxes; rework items.
- Gives breaks and lunches.
- Maintains an organized and sanitary work environment at all times.
- Requires working proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people.
- Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position.
