Job Title: Special Education Teacher (Intervention Specialist) - Long-Term Sub
Location: Irondale, Ohio
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team in Irondale, Ohio, as a long-term substitute for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time position covers a maternity leave, with a definite contract until October 2024, and the possibility of extending to the full school year. The teacher will be responsible for working in an elementary Multi-Handicapped Unit (Self-Contained).
Educational Requirements:
- Must hold a valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs.
- Provide direct instruction to students in a self-contained setting.
- Adapt and modify curriculum and instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with multiple disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure the best educational outes for students.
- Monitor student progress and make necessary adjustments to IEPs.
- Maintain accurate and plete records of students' progress and development.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth.
- Utilize specialized techniques and materials to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
Certifications:
- Must hold a valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License.
