Job Description : We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education (SPED) Teacher to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year in Commerce City, CO.
As a SPED Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they receive the tools and resources necessary to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in various academic subjects, focusing on their individualized goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and other support staff to create inclusive learning environments.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with parents / guardians regarding student progress and individualized plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Prior experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
