What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility I - first shift position at Soliant?
Keystone Pretzels, a subsidiary of Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team and is currently recruiting for a Utility I to work from our manufacturing facility located in Lititz, PA on First shift.
As a Utility I the main responsibility of this position requires the candidate to substitute for jobs in various manufacturing departments, pending training. This candidate will be be required to stand 100% of the time and be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
Utility I:
- Substitutes for specific jobs in all manufacturing departments pending training.
- Capable of working as a lineperson in the packing room.
- Capable of assisting the peeler operator peeling potatoes in processing room.
- Capable of assisting the warehouse personnel with pulling orders, sticking product, labeling, etc.
- Performs various cleaning duties as assigned (Frying Room end of week clean up, windows, floors, etc.).
- Responsible for end of day sanitation and clean-up as well as Saturday boilout and clean-up when needed.
- Position requires ability to learn various jobs and flexibility to perform different jobs each day.
- Uses Lock Out Tag Out as required to ensure safe operations at all times
- Responsible to follow all safety rules and work safely at all times.
- Responsible to report unsafe equipment and practices to supervisor.
- Must adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Housekeeping duties will be preformed from 6:00am - 12:00pm
- House Keeping duties includde:
- cleaning & restocking restrooms and break areas
- emptying trash and recycling
- dry sweeping and damp mopping floors
- vacuuming carpet
- dusting and other basic cleaning duties in the office area
- Utility Help will be performed from 12:30pm to 3:00pm
